The phone rang at 5am this morning and it was the nursing home telling us that my dad passed away.

The nurse had gone in his room to take his vitals and there weren't any. He passed away in his sleep and is no longer in pain and I know he's in a better place but it's still been extremely hard. It's only 11:30 but this has been the longest day of my life.

We're having a memorial service on Thursday and he asked to be cremated so we're going to be doing that.

I am so sorry for your loss. I hate how there are never really any good words to say when things like this happen, but I hate to hear this. I can't imagine how tough it is to lose a parent.?

I am so sorry for your lost. I just went throught the same thing in March and nothing anyone said made me feel better about it. All I can say is continue to pray for strength. It will get a little better one day at a time. If you need to talk, I am here for you. I will be praying fo you and your family.
