Starting up some work tomorrow

I decided to do a bit of per diem physical therapy work to make a little extra money to save for the washer and dryer we need to buy when we move. ?I am a bit nervous because I have not worked in over a year, and a litle sad because I will miss Eli. ?I am only doing 5 hours on Mondays and Wednesdays, but still I have not been away from Eli on a regular schedule like that. ?He will be fine, and plus, he needs to get used to someone else watching him because of when we have the new baby. ?I think after tomorrow I'll be good and feel good , but it still is a bit nerve wracking. ?It will be one of the first few times that I will not be the one getting Eli up in the morning. ?The only times it has been someone else was when I had a stomach virus and when I had really bad morning sickness. ?

It was so hard for me at first. It just felt so wrong to be away. But over time, it began to feel more and more like a good thing for both of us. I get to keep my hands in my field (which feels good for the professional side of me) and have some all-adult time (precious) and she gets to have some special moments with other adults who may do different things with her than I do, different experiences to share. Okay, today went really well! ?I enjoyed being back in the clinic as well as everyone working there was great. ?It was nice to work with patients again, though I did miss Elijah a lot! ?When I got home he ran right to me and gave me the biggest hug and laid his head on my shoulder. ?It was really cute. ?I'm back in again on Wednesday! ?New washer and dryer here we come!
