Boat rentals in Seneca/Hartwell?

So DH's cousin just called, he's coming to visit next weekend and he wants to go fishing and told DH to reserve a boat.

His cousin's plan was to leave me at home with his new girlfriend who I have never met ALL DAY.  Uhm, NO.  No need to mince words, this guy dates skanks, and I have no interest in trying to make small talk for 8-12 hours with a skank I've never met.

SO I suggested to DH instead of them renting a tiny fishing boat, maybe they could rent a pontoon or ski boat, and at least all of us could go out together in that.

We don't want to spend a total fortune though, does anyone have any suggestions for places in the area where we can rent a boat affordably for next Sat????

Re: Boat rentals in Seneca/Hartwell?

  • What's considered affordable?  I think we paid $300 for a boat rental lasting 8 hours for Lake Jocassee.  We just googled boat rentals for Lake Jocassee, and several companies popped up.

I would try the googling boat rentals for Lake Hartwell.

  • I did that, the cheapest I found was about $280 for a pontoon boat.  I'd like to spend less, but just about any amount is worth not having to spend the day alone with the girl he decides to bring.
