what to do for 2nd bday party....

for Avery's 1st bday we just did a big bbq here at the house with sprinklers, little baby pools and slip and slides. ?(This is JULY by the way). ?it was a success except it's too hot, our house is too small and it just wears me out! ha. ?OH, and the slip and slides killed our lawn, which the DH wasn't happy about. ?SOOOO....

I'd like to do something outside the home for his 2nd bday. ?I don't want to spend a fortune and go all overboard either. ?Just something simple that won't cost me a fortune that will be fun for the adults and children.... I was thinking a swimming party at riverchase or something, but I live outside their "limits" and i don't think you can bring your own food in, etc.

Any ideas??? ?thank you!?

Re: what to do for 2nd bday party....

  • I can't believe Avery is turning 2 already (but then again so is Clare!).  We are just planning a backyard BBQ again like last year, but what about a park that has water activities?  I know Tilles Park on McKnight has a fun water play area.
  • Amy - we also live outside the limits, but I don't think it costs more to rent a room if you are outside the limits, you may want to check on that.

You can go to the transporation museum in Des Peres.  I went to a 4 yr old b-day there once.

    There's a Monkey Joe's on Watson.

You can rent a pavillion at a park, Fenton Park may have something.

And there's always Chuck E Cheese...............

  • What about The Heights in Richmond Heights on Dale a block of Hanley?

We had my Dad's 70th BD party there and I have gone to a couple shower's there.  It is a nice place.

It is a hard call since you are dealing with St. Louis Julys!!!

I also agree with Becca - Tilley's might be a good idea since they have the water park.

    Good luck!

  • thank you so much girls! ?i forgot about the transportation museum, that might be cool. ?if not, the waterpark place sounds good to me! ?
