Another question today! What did you have for breakfast?

Haha as I eat my very odd breakfast I wonder:

What did you have for breakfast today?

Re: Another question today! What did you have for breakfast?

  • Oh and my breakfast was a shot of espresso with skim milk

And a mini baguette with olive tapenade.

It was delish, but a very weird breakfast, I'll admit.

WTF is tapenade?   Looks gross.   I haven't had breakfast.  Guess I'll just skip straight to lunch if/when Nicholas lets me eat.

  • I just had some baked oatmeal. Eric's parents were in town this weekend, and I made baked oatmeal (and cinnamon rolls) for them yesterday. It's actually pretty good, and it's easy to transport to work! The recipe is from Cooking Light.

OOOH I like the new pic!!!

It's just basically chopped up olives and garlic, pimentos, olive oil, etc.  you spread it on bread.  I LOVE olives.

I've never head of baked oatmeal.  How's it taste compared to regular?

  • Freshly picked blackberries and plain yogurt.

It's a little bit different because the texture is almost like a cross between regular oatmeal and custard. Its becomes a little smoother I guess and less mushy when you bake it. You can add anything you would add to regular oatmeal, so it tastes pretty similar...it's definitely a different texture though. I just added brown sugar, but the next time I make it I'll put in some dried fruits.

Oooh maybe I'll have this (only with rasberries) for lunch and that will balance out the strangeness of my breakfast.

  • I had 1/2 a bagel with cream cheese and watermelon. Now what to find for lunch is the question.
  • Turkey and Pastrami sandwhich.

Here's a secret...I hate breakfast food for breakfast.  I love it for dinner, but for breakfast its just...blah.

I will occasionally eat an everything bagel with cream cheese or a chicken buscuit.

  • Coffee. Embarrassed Ive recently become a no breakfast person.  The olives sound fantastic though....
  • I'm so late on this one but I had waffles with honey and tea.

Usually I just have oatmeal and some yogurt, but I'm craving carbs.

  • Sadly, I must admit that I had a "donut stick" (little debbie thingy) and a Mtn. Dew.  I am a horrible, horrible breakfast person!
