Branford ladies, please come in!
Are any of you familiar with Louis Drive, a new cul-de-sac that overlooks the water/marshes? It has 8 homes - 4 built, 4 to-be-built, and we're really curious about it. Any info would be very helpful! Thanks!
Re: Branford ladies, please come in!
I don't know where that is and Google maps isn't helping. Is it the houses that are off Route 1 by the supply pond? I have seen a development there.
If so, it is close to the interstate, I'd be concerned with noise pollution.
I just checked. This isn't the development that I've seen. The one I saw had houses starting in the 600s and was right next to the highway.
Check the area to price out flood insurance.
I just DD'd!!! In my original post I didn't know where Louis Drive was but I just found it on a map........

I used to live right around the corner. It's in a nice area but it's not on the ocean - it's on the branford river. It is a nice neighborhood though and close to town and it's only about a mile from the beach. I used to run by the beach past Louis Drive (well, the road that it's off of).
Branford is a nice town - great parks, more affordable than Fairfield county, on the train.......the high school is not great so keep that in mind if you're thinking of staying long term and sending Abby to public school. I am addicted to realtor.com and I've been noticing that Guilford seems to have better buys and they have great schools and a cuter town. Just a thought.~ Good Luck!!
Lindsay,
Thanks for the info! We're going to take a ride up this weekend and check it out.
I haven't heard that the high school isn't great - I will definitely look into that.
We love Guilford, but are trying to keep DH's commute as short as possible....he will be working in Stamford. It's still a possibility, though!
