Re: GRE!!!
I took the GRE about 4 or 5 years ago. Honestly, its very similar to the SAT's. I tookd a refresher course with Princeton Review becuase I have horrible math skills. The exam is on a computer. You have several tries to pass it but I think your chances of getting into a good masters program diminish if you take it a million times.
Good Luck!
I took mine about 3 years ago. I just bought a review book and went through some practice tests. It's very much like the SAT. I didn't need a very high score for my program. If I needed a higher score I probably would have taken a review class - for my purposes I was fine without one. I am much better at math than verbal - I honestly thought they made some words up. Start practicing the vocab.
Since my test was on computer - I had my unofficial score the minute after I finished my test.
I took the GRE in 2001 - 8 years ago. Now I feel old, too! I was one of the first ones to take it on the computer and really like it. I got my unofficial score right when I finished. I got one of the practice books that included a CD-ROM. It was nice to do practice tests on my computer so I got really use to it.
Don't know how long it's been since you've had math, but it's good to know some of the basic equations. I wish I would have spent more time learning the root of words, so I could break down some of the larger words that I did not know. It would have helped to improve my vocabulary score.
Good luck!
