A well known Miami Beach priest has been accused of violating his vows in an apparent sex scandal. The Rev. Alberto Cuti? is an administrator at St. Francis De Sales in Miami Beach.

Crazy! I just saw this a little while ago when Justine (MrsHisOnly) posted it on facebook.
Honestly, I am not in the least bit surprised that he is involved with a woman. What surprises me is his STUPIDITY in being out on a public beach with her. At least please tell me that was not a beach in Miami or even in the U.S., because that would just be beyond dumb. Maybe they were vacationing somewhere and he figured no one would recognize him?
Honestly, it doesn't really bother me on a personal level that he's with a woman. It's much better than all the Catholic priests who are accused of molesting little boys. I can imagine what a difficult sacrifice celibacy is, and maybe he felt like he could have the best of both worlds by serving the church as a priest but then having a woman on the side in private. Who knows what his though process was. What bothers me is that I feel like he has gone out of his way to make this public persona of himself and has achieved this celebrity-like status, and then he goes and does something like this in such a public way. He's ruined his reputation and disappointed the thousands of people who look up to him. If he felt that he wasn't going to be able to handle priesthood the "right" way, why not just stay small and humble? Don't put yourself out there with a radio show, TV shows, etc., and paint yourself as this perfect Catholic role model if you can't even follow the rules that you signed up for...

Im my honest opinion, and I was raised Catholic and am very spiritual in many ways, I think the Church should do away with the celibacy thing. Its an old fashioned way of thinking.
I agree, but until this happens, don't go prancing around with a girl in a bikini on South Beach! Duhhh.

i personally think celibacy is an outdated form of practicing your spiritual believes. but if that's how the church wants it then those that decide on priest hood must follow the rules. if at any time they feel they will veer from the rules then they should step down.
Oh I know...just plain dumb. Unless he has a bigger agenda. Im curious to see what happens next. We all know the Cath Church has been under hot water in the last couple years because of Priest sex scandals. And Catholics know it will take forever for the church to change. Im curious to see what this does...does it push things along a bit?

There's some positivity to be said about a priest scandal that involves a priest and a WOMAN.
Thank god it wasn't another little boy.
I honestly could care less if my priest has a girlfriend or wife. More power to him. Maybe if they didn't have that vow of celibacy and priest were allowed to have relations with women it would alleviate a lot of those priest/little boy issues.

Ditto to the previous comments, I think celibacy is so outdated. I'm not saying to go around like a man wh#re, but I dont see anything wrong with having a wife. I especially think that if priests had wives they would be a greater example/mentor to the church. I just feel it's relateable to the families who admire him.
Regardless, Padre Alberto is a hottie.. he married my cousin and I've worked with him at several charity functions.With his demeanor, I would think it's hard to keep the ladies off of him
