I'm pooped

I just got home from the gym, I did 3 miles on the tread mill.  I'm so out of shape it is unbelievable.  I have to be able to run 4 miles in less than 2 weeks.  Ahh!!  I need to stay motivated.

Anyone else Normal 0 exercising?  What is your workout?

Re: I'm pooped

  • Way to go Lex! I wish I was able to run 3 miles at this point in my life...I need to get back to that...are you doing another triathalon?
  • I am so out of shape.  I usually do 45 minutes on the elliptical and then get some sit ups and strength training/weights in for another half hour or so.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

  • the only exercising i'm getting is my bi-weekly walk w/ justles & when we (or i) walk cali.

    sooo. . . not enough!

  • you rock Lexi!

the only exercise I'm getting these days is my daily stomach workout which consists of throwing up.  after 7 weeks of this you think I'd have rock hard abs, LOL.  ooohhh, maybe I do and it's just being covered up by this baby bump Big Smile  A girl can dream!!

  • I need to get back into running, too... It's not that I don't like it! :)

My weekly workout consists of tai chi 2-3 times per week (sometimes more if I actually get my butt up and practice at home! Really should do that some more!)

I also play a sport called netball (sort of similar to basketball but not really.. lol :) Someone told me it's best to say it's like ultimate frisbee with a ball [wouldn't really know, though, since I've never played ultimate frisbee!])
Netball involves loads of running, jumping, throwing, balancing, etc. so it's great exercise :)

That's about it, really... I'll also practice my shooting for netball and I'm always running around somewhere for work so I guess that counts, too, right?! :)

I'm really interested in finding an adult ballet class or a non-gym-affiliated yoga class (bah - crappy economy/my work had to take away our 100% paid-for gym membership) but I think for now I have enough classes/practices to go to! :)

  • I was working out up until about about my third trimester. I would just do the elliptical for about 30 mins (keeping a close eye on my heart rate) and then very light weights for about 5-10 minutes and then lots and lots of stretching. Before pregnancy I would mostly do classes since they seemed to work better for me.

  • I go to a bootcamp class twice a week at Balboa Park and once a week at a park in Mira Mesa.  I do a 3 mile walk 3 or 4 days a week and I try to fit in a run at least once a week.  I hate the gym (haven't been there in months), but these killer classes have really whipped me into shape.  Not where I want to be yet....but working on it!
  • I walk 1.5 miles a day with the little one and am about to start the 30 day Shred DVD next week. Can't wait to start running again!
