As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

DC passes marriage bill
DC's City Council passed a bill recognizing same-sex marriages performed in other states. Unfortunately, opponents had a big protest and just generally acted crazy. But the bill passed with only one no vote, which is awesome! Yea DC!

Marion Barry's prediction that there will be "civil war" over this issue is just ridiculous. No, not everybody is going to like it. But people in this city have more pressing things to worry about, I am sure. The mayor has already said he will sign it, so now we just have to worry about Congress. C'mon, Congress, do us right. I've been a DP for way too long!

Marion Barry is whacked. But he is so loved in Ward 8, that they will vote him into office as long as he has a heartbeat (and perhaps past that.) I really think he has a narcissistic complex.
But YAY DC!!!
