Has anyone delivered at Health Central? I'm thinking about switching OBs so I can deliver at Winnie Palmer or Florida Hospital- does anyone have one that they love? I want to hear the good and the bad about the hospitals in the area! I am the only pregnant person I know in Cent. Fl so I have no one to ask, lol!

Re: Health Central
I had a couple overnight stays at Winnie while I was pregnant, and eventually delivered there. I loved it. The nurses were fantastic and very helpful, and the hospital is designed to look more like a business hotel than a hospital.
Congrats on your pregnancy!
There are plenty of mommies to be here so you came to the right place! :-)
(I wouldn't be able to tell you though..)
My sister delivered at Florida Hospital South Campus (downtown) and I plan on delivering there too. My obgyn office is the Loch Haven OBGYN and so far I really like them. You end up meeting all the doctors throughout all your appointments and you don't know exactly who you'll get on the day of delivery. Florida Hospital just made that HUUUUGEEE expansion and I've heard it is A.MAZING from friend I know that work there. I work for Adventist Health Systems (part of Florida Hospital) and I've really only heard good things about people that delivered there.
I have heard good things about WP though too...I remember visiting a few people after their babies and it was great.
I just had to input my FH experience in there. You are now not alone in being pregnant in CFL. :-)
I've delivered and worked at Winnie Palmer and highly recommend it. The facilities are top notch. The nurses aren't all wonderful but that goes for any hospital
As for OBs I highly highly recommend Dr.Peppy! He is my OB and I love him so much! He is the sweetest doctor ever and really cares about his patients. He is also voted #1 OB in Florida on Rate MD

Congratulations on your pregnancy! You definitely want to deliver at Winnie. I had my daughter there (and I will be there again in September) and I absolutely loved it. I was so sad when they made me go home. LOL I stayed with a friend after she had her baby at FL Hospital and that place was a total dump compared to Winnie.
As far as OBs go, I absolutely love the practice I go to. www.obandgyn.cc There are 11 doctors and I have only met 1 that I didn't totally love. They have ultrasound and lab right in the office so everything is done there. They also have three locations. My favorite docs are Dr. Bartfield (man), Dr. Asaria (woman) and Dr. Durkee (woman).
Good luck finding a new doc! And enjoy your pregnancy!!!!
What is the name of the Dr?
I go to LochHaven and really like it... My main dr is Dr. Walker but since I'm pregnant I've met them all. They each have their own styles but in general, they are all really nice and caring.
I'm delivering at Florida Hospital downtown next week so I'll be able to give my experience with the hospital in the next few weeks.
Good luck in your search!
Congrats on your pregnancy!
I had my daughter at The Baby Place at Winter Park Hospital and the hospital itself was a wonderful experience. It's smaller than Winnie and I really felt like I got a lot of personal attention from the doctors (aside from my OB who was a big jerk to me) and nurses there. My L&D nurse was fabulous....when I was having a panic attack over having to have an emergency c/section she was totally there for me and calmed me down.
Rodiggity, Dr Walker is my main doctor too!! I know EXACTLY what you mean by saying "they have their own styles"!! I haven't seen them all myself yet, but my sister did, I still have to see Dr Jackson, Hill, Hoover, Caccitore, oh and Boone.
GL with your delivery in a few weeks!
