My dad wants to throw my mom a surprise 60th b-day party. They have this band they follow around STL and the band is able to play that night. Here's the dilemma- we don't know where to have it and it has to be a place the band can play at. It will be in August and have a casual, relaxed feel to it. It would start at dinner time and end according to my dad, "whenever we want it to"- so not at 10 or 11. He's thinking sometime after midnight for sure. (They can stay out way later than I can these days!!!) He's afraid of rain so even though he would like to do it at a friend's house, if it rains, the inside is not big enough for everyone. Oh and he plans on inviting close to 200 people. So can you think of a place that could accommodate this, but not cost too much?
Thanks!!
Re: Speaking of where to have a party...
Someplace that came to mind was Casa Loma Ballroom = http://www.casalomaballroom.com/
We used to go there when we were in CYC and they had dances. It was such a big place and so nice!
Maybe Orlando Garden's? A VFW Hall?
