Steenbean or anyone-Gym Rec?
I quit my gym in FL since we moved here, and now I don't have one.
I am looking for a gym/studio that has good spinning and or yoga classes and that isn't crowded..meaning if I feel like using any machines at 530, there won't be a wait 99% of the time! lol...
I would prefer a gym, but if you have a studio rec I would appreciate that too!
Oh and if I could pay less than 100 bucks that would be preferable...
I live in Lakeview...
TIA
Ayleen
Re: Steenbean or anyone-Gym Rec?
DH and I work out at the Xsport in Pipers Alley. I know they have a location in Lakeview, but I am not too sure how busy it is at 5:30.
They had a sign up deal when we joined so we are locked into a lower rate after our contract is over. However, I think the month to month rate is something like $45 right now.

I have a membership at Rush Copley Healthplex which is in Aurora. Not sure on the rates per month since I get a free membership. They have their own spin and yoga studios. There are three studios and indoor/outdoor courts and two pools.

I would check out the others' options since they are probably much closer, but I can tell you about the gym I work at. ?Lifetime Fitness is only in the suburbs, I work at the Old Orchard location which would only be convenient if you are near 94 b/c then you can shoot right up. ?It's definitely going to be on the more expensive side in terms of gyms, but there is a ton of equipment, three pools, four waterslides, a pretty good kids club, a spa, cafe, steam and sauna, etc. ?I find it to be fairly kid/family friendly and while it does get crowded, you will never have a hard time finding a treadmill. ?If you do come to check it out, let me know.

I am going to get my hair cut with Jennifer today! ?I'm sooo in dire need so I'm pretty excited. ?I'm giving them your name as a rec, so hopefully you get something out of it!?
I think it is still there (haven't lived in lakeview for a couple of years) but you should try The Sweat Shop on Broadway and Belmont. It is very reasonable in price and I enjoyed their classes.
thank you ladies!
and steenbean i hope you like jennifer! i really loved my haircut and she is such a nice person.
