What do you think of DH's idea

Okay so MH has come up with this idea to make a little extra cash on the side.

So here it is: He wants to go to the store, pick up a bunch of hamburgers, soda's, water and small bags of chips and go to peanut island and sell that stuff off the boat. $3 for a hamburger, 1 for a soda, .50c for chips. 2 hamburgers 1 soda and bag of chips for $5. etc...

Have any of you ever been to Peanut Island? Just off of the Blue Heirren (sp) Bridge?

Question:

1. Would you  if you were boating stop and get a hamburger and a drink?

2. What would you pay?

3. Or would you just pass by and not think to stop?

Be careful though, in order for you to sell food you have to have a license. If he gets caught selling without one he will get fined, and when it comes to the food industry the fines aren't cheap

Thats what I told him, but he didnt believe me. And I told him that I bet everyone already has food if they are camping out there. Usually you have food when you go boating or at least I usually bring some.

Never heard of peanut island. What is that?

That is true. Also, if there is an exchange of food and money he then become liable for any illness that may happen with the food. I would try to deter him from this unless he is willing to spend the money for the proper licenses and insurance.

Peanut Island is where president Regain hid bombs in an underground bunker. its this little island in Palm beach in the middle of the Intercoastal that tons of people go to every weekend and party. It has a huge sandbar all the way around it.

 

Yocy I dont know what his thoughts are about all that I think he was just trying to come up with a way to make some extra cash. I think it was just a passing thought. I don't think I'm going to let him do it. Plus I dont need the extra headache.

LOL Well if he does decide by any chance, I'm always willing to help with the process. it sounds like it would be a good spot for a boat food rest. I know there is one by beer can island and that guy tends to be out of food by 3pm.

Yeah there is a boat rest. out there that you can get on board and sit and eat. That would be a little much but I'll see what he wants to do. It might be more of a hassle then he thinks. Thanks Yocy I'll let you know.
