Pre Marital Counceling
Some of my friends are getting married in August and they have to/ need to attend some premarital counceling. Has anyone attended any that they really liked? We went to one last October but they only have 2 sessions a year in september and march so too late for them to go to ours... Any information will be greatly appreciated..

We went thru our church. The LA Archidiocese ran the program and they had meetings monthly, we just picked the month and the parish to attend. Not sure if that's available to your friends.
There may be other programs run independant from any church or religious organization. They may be called marriage or couple retreats...in case you or your friends want to look it up.

Even if your friend is not Catholic, she should consider the LA Archdiocese Engaged Encounter programs. Based on stats from a friend who volunteers for EE, 20% of couples aren't Catholic and there are even a few non-Christian attendees. While there's some Catholicism mixed in (and always noted that not all need to participate), most of the weekend or nights are spent on communication excercises...with no judgements
The best part is that it's an intensive weekend or set of classes for a bargain price...less than $200.
