Anniversary Plans?

I know a good amount of us have anniversarys coming up or have just past. What did you/are you doing for your anniversary? Ours is next weekend and I can't believe how fast this year has gone.

Ours is May 31, but this weekend we're going to Philly for the night and Capital Grille for dinner. We also took a 2 night trip in Feb to Annapolis.

On May 30th we get a free dinner at Pine Hill for our 1 yr - so we're doing that.

Aww.. that is awesome. Does Pine Hill do that for all of their past brides/grooms? A friend of mine got married at Pine Hill last June.

Beyond eating that cake in my freezer I have no plans.  I'm boring.

I went away for a week for mine. 

 I'm pretty sure Eva is going away next week for her anni.  Are you going away Jen?

Ours is next Sunday! Seriously this was the fastest year of my life ever. We're headed to Ireland!

I don't think we are going away because we have a lot of weddings this year and then a destination wedding in New Orleans next year (which we plan to make a vacation out of). Our plans right now are dinner at the Melting Pot in AC, maybe some gambling, and possibly stay over in AC.

Ohhh and we're having our cake w/ some champagne. My dad is also throwing a little brunch for us too, which is really sweet.

Eva- that is really cute of your dad to do! We are also eatting some year old cake. I can't wait to see what the top of our mario cake looks like. I will have to take pics and post them.

Wow Eva, that's a lot of celebrating going on.  Cake, bubbly, brunch and international tavel.  Color me jealous. 

 I've never been to Melting Pot yet.  Good luck with the gambling.... maybe you can strike it rich?!

We're not until October, but we've preliminary discussed a long weekend somewhere - maybe Martha's Vineyard???

Our anniversary is July 4th. The first year is paper, so one gift from me to him is Phillies tickets for the game on the 3rd.

We took a vacation in April, so our budget may not allow for anything spectacular.

Alicia you just made me feel better!!!!!  We are planning a long weekend in Boston and plan on going to a Pats game on our anniversary.  I feel so much better that the 1st year is paper and we are going to a football game.  The tickets are stupid expensive so I can chalk it up as a gift I suppose....covers all bases now!! yay!

We're going to Vegas for our anniversary.  H got me Bruce tix and so far I made him a collage of all our ticket stubs, postcards, plane tickets, etc. from Spain in a huge frame.  I think it looks pretty good

Mine is this Sunday!!!!! I can not believe that it has been 1 year already, it flew by. We are going to Atlantic City for the weekend and having dinner at McCormick and Schmicks, oh and trying our 1 year old wedding cake, but I have back up just in case it tastes bad.

I just told H he has exactly 6 months and 1 week to think of an anniversary gift for me and the first year is the paper anniversary.  He asked me if that meant he could buy "me" tickets to a Redskins game.  I rolled my eyes at him, but it looks like I'm in good company.  Glad I'm not the only one who will be celebrating at a sporting event.

We're spending the week before our anniversary using our Marriott vacation club week but staying in Jersey. I think it's called Seaview in Galloway Township. So maybe some celebrating in AC. We also have tickets that week to see Elton John & Billy Joel in Philly. I bet he doesn't even realize it's the paper anniversary and the tickets can count as a gift.

Oh good - our gift to each other was our wedding album. That's paper (kind of).

Jen - yea, the free dinner was included in our package. I'm sure your friend got it, too.

Before we decided to get pregnant, we had a trip to Jamaica planned. oh well - we'll have to go another time!

We didn't do anything for our anniversary last week.  We are getting a deck put on the back of our house so we didn't want to spend any more money   This is the first year we haven't done anything so I'm a little disappointed.

While Antigua is almost 11 months after the wedding, it is still our honeymoon lol... sooo I am totally going to convince DH that we need to do a weekend somewhere in June   We go to the Phils all the time, so I'd like to maybe go to an away game somewhere and make a weekend out of it.
