PIP of our apartment in flood yesterday...

I don't know if all of you know about the flood in Montgomery yesterday, but our complex flooded.  They pumped all the water out yesterday afternoon so we were able to go home.  Thank goodness we live on the second floor, the first floor apartments had a bunch of damage.  I thought ya'll would like to see some pics of our buildings.  The first pic is of our actual building and the second one is down the road from us.  I couldn't believe it was so bad!!!  I hope the other Montgomery/Prattville nesties are dried out and don't have a bunch of damage!

Wow, how terrible for the first floor people. I had seen some footage on tv and it looked pretty bad. We are on a hill in Prattville so it just watered our yard really well. I'm glad you didn't have damage.

I was watching the news this morning where they were talking about the state house flooding yesterday.  That is insane!  I'm glad your apartment didn't get any damage.

I'm so glad that y'alls apartment is ok...but what about your cars?  No damage I hope!

Thanks girls.  Our cars were fine.  We were both at work and park in parking decks so they were above ground.  Our downstairs neighbor was home and couldn't get it so her car flooded.  They towed it this AM. I feel bad for her though.  She is 85 and retired.  Her granddaughter is coming to get her this afternoon so she can stay with her until her apartment is fixed.  All of the downstairs units have to have the carpet replaced and some of them have structural damage.  I hope they are able to fix it soon!
