It looks like Rylie is going to need tubes in her ears. Does anyone have any recs for a good pediatric ENT? Her pediatrician recommended a couple and my OB *HIGHLY* recommended one, but I just wanted to see if any of you moms here had any. TIA!
Re: Pediatric ENT
I promise you that you will be SO HAPPY that those tubes are in after all is said and done! Brendon had ear infections for months on end with nothing working to stop it. He got the tubes last June and has been sick 1 time since (and it was just last week). I honestly wish we had done them sooner!
I don't have the dr's number here at work, but I'll find it when I get home and send it to you.
Without a doubt, go to Dr. Alan Saffran
He is wonderful -- he has put in countless tubes for children and it will make ALL the difference if that is what she really needs. Dr Saffran is beyond smart and very observant. (I can't even count how many people I know go to him b/c I know a ton and they ALL rave about him.) Plus it doesn't take forever to get an appointment. I don't know how they do it -- widely popular and booked, but you can get in.
He just did surgery on a friend of mines nose (she broke it), he will be taking out a 5 year old tonsils, and he'll be putting in tubes in another child. (That's just within the past week or two of people I know . . . again, everybody I know see's him!)
His website is flotogroup.com
I am not a Mom, but I might as well be b/c I have a niece that pretty is my considered mine! Plus I teach over 400 children and I am around doctors and/or doctors wives ALL the time! I know who the good ones are!
Thanks Stumpy! Dr. Saffron is one of the ENT's Rylie's pediatrician recommended.
Elizabeth - email me with the name of Brendon's doc if you can.
Thanks ladies!
Good to know that I am not the only one that recommends him! (LOL!) He is one of those rare docs that is great with adults and kids. My niece went in to see him recently and she loved him too. He spends time explaining things to parent and child. I know he will take care her if you decide to go with him.
Thanks. You'll have to calm me down over the whole "surgery" thing since you just went through it.
