Any auto loan officers/specialists? I have a ?

I have a strange question.

Is it possible to get a loan to buy 2 cars at once.

I need a new car now and my husband is looking for next year and I would rather have 1 payment instead of 2.

Does this happen or no?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Any auto loan officers/specialists? I have a ?

  • It depends on the bank or dealership, whoever you may be financing through. My lender would do this if your credit was good enough (both you and your husband) and it didn't exceed your debt to income ratio. Shop around a little for good rates and make sure you ask the bank or dealership.
  • Unless you are doing a home equity loan or if you have great credit and your debt to income is not too high, an unsecured loan. Otherwise no. With auto loans financial institutions prefer to put a lean on the car title, so if you fail to keep up with your payments or file bankruptcy they are able to repossess your vehicle.
