How did your rhogam shot go? I just got mine on Thursday and was totally unprepared for what it was. I thought I'd walk in, get the shot, walk out.  My dr office didn't send my bloodwork ahead so I was sitting in the ER at Holy Spirit for about an hour and a half before they finally said it'd be awhile longer and then I went over to Wendy's to kill some time.  They made me wait 15 minutes to make sure I felt ok but then I got naseous and hot a little later and felt like crap for a few hours. I'm glad I won't need to get any more until maybe after ds is born.

I hope yours went better than mine...just wondering if mine was atypical or not.

  • Oh my...sounds like we had the exact same experience!!!  We were in the ER a total of 2 hours waiting around to get this shot.  I wonder why this can't be done in an outpatient clinic in the hospital vs. the ER?  It was a long process for something that only took 2 seconds.  I did not have any reactions to the shot though...just a little sore at the injection site.  I was starving afterwards since I just took the 1hr. sugar test right before I headed over to the hospital.  I'm glad the next shot will be right after I deliver since I'm already in the hospital....don't want to come back for it.
