Where do you go for vacation?

Where do you go for family vacations? Just you and DH vacations? Does anyone tent camp? where?

We haven't camped yet, but are looking forward to. We will probably go to otter creek. Our only vacation was April of 07' we went to Gatlinburg and had a blast. There are pib. We loved it. It was both of our first vacation without family and such. We want to go to disneyworld, a cruise, and the beach.

We don't really go on family vacations.  When DH and I go on vacation we like to go to different places every time, mostly to big cities (Chicago, Vegas, NYC).  I've never been camping.

family vacations - outer banks, nc.  destin, fl.  gulf shores, al.  couples vaca - chicago, nashville, we're going to charleston, sc for our 2 yr anniv.  tent camp - we don't do it often, but we've done taylorsville lake, red river gorge.  if you're really interested in camping, there are TONS of places w/in driving distance.

Since we've been married, we have only been on an extended family vacation to Gatlinburg.  Growing up, my family vacations were usually to the beach - Gulf Shores, Destin, Panama City, Daytona or Sanibel Island.  Also, growing up, my family did the tent camp/canoe thing, mainly around Nolin River.  There are tons of places to camp in KY!  DH and I have vacationed in Sanibel Island and Chicago.  We try to mix it up and one year do the beach and the next a big city.  This year, we're taking separate summer vacations, I'm going on a girl's trip to Gulf Shores, he's going on a Harley trip out west.  We're hoping to go to Jackson Hole together around Christmas.

Last year we went to Napa Valley, CA for our 1 year anniversay.  It was a LOT of fun....but we are winos.

Most of our "vacations" usually involve going to visit friends.  This fall we plan to up up Michigan with another couple.  We'll get to hang out at the beach as well as tour some wineries so it will be the best of both worlds!

Anywhere and everywhere!   I like to take week-long (sometimes 2 weeks) vacations once a year to the beach, on a cruise, etc., and we also take long weekend mini-trips when we can fit them in.  I LOVE to travel, so I'm always on the lookout for good deals and interesting places to go to.
