Re: Happy Monday
two glad to hear the iui went well will be thinking of you in the 2ww!
fingers crossed for you thiswill be. Here is to the ssh baby boom!
Weekend was super busy but fun. I got many happy mother's days from people which was kind of funny. At church I got a rose for being a mother. I kind of thought I should get 1/2 of one since I haven't made the baby yet but they said if you had morning sickness you get one. It was fun.
today is a drs appointment. I am prob going alone since S doesn't think she can leave work. I have been pretty nervous about this since I shocked myself and i have felt like the baby has been really quiet lately. But last night the baby was kicking up a storm. I think I have been really busy and I am kind of getting used to the kicking so I have not been noticing it as much. I am pretty sure all is fine and will feel much better when I hear the heartbeat again today.
We are still in a wait and see with S's job. Which sucks! I think it will be today or tomorrow that she gets laid off. At this point we just want it to happen so we can figure out a plan and put it in action.
Other than that it is just a push for getting through the end of the year. We have our science state test next week and i am trying to teach a ton of material before that happens. It so stupid, they give a test that cover all of the content a month before school ends. So I have to try and push all this stuff in there so that the kids have at least seen weather before the test. I hate it! I feel like I am shoveling it down their throats.
Good Morning!
We had a nice weekend. Saturday was a great day spent together, lounging and doing a few errands, and Sunday we spent visiting for mothers day, which was a long day, but mostly fun.
Suddenly our weeks have gotten very busy... Cecilia has joined a softball team... She has a couple of weeks left of one grad school class and then starts another for the summer term. I'm thinking of doing a drop-in ballet class to entertain myself on one of the nights she's gone. So this week...
Mon - normal night at home, though we need to do some laundry, which we've been avoiding
Tues - C softball, maybe ballet for me
Weds - C class
Thurs - meeting friends for drinks/dinner (C snuck this into the schedule!)
Fri - C softball
Plus, this is my second week of my new new position at work, so I'll be lucky to make it to Friday afternoon with my head still on straight. We are used to C having class during the week, but basically nothing else - so this is a big change.
At least I have plenty pre-prepared frozen meals to get us through the week.

We had an AWESOME weekend at Dutch Wonderland. The weather was perfect, the kids had a blast, I got a funnel cake...
This week is going to be a whirlwind - too much to do. Sadly most of this has to be done between 6pm-8pm (when we get home from work and when the kids go to bed.)
Monday - talk with our nanny about transitioning to someone else this summer. Then I'll take the kids to the grocery store while L dismantles her office and sets it back up as a guest room.
Tuesday - L got us tickets to see Ragtime. I am so excited to go -but nervous that I'm going to fall asleep (7:30-10:30 on a work night?!!?)
Wednesday - Take the kids to Costco while L makes their birthday cakes
Thursday - I'll take the kids to Gymboree while L stays home to plant flowers, clean carpet, wrap presents, make gift bags, etc.
Friday - ILs come. L will decorate cakes while I'll clean.
Saturday - 24 people coming to our house, including 8 kids. L and her parents are taking the kids to an African drumming concert, while I stay home to cook meatballs and mac and cheese, make fruit salad and a veggie tray.
Good luck to everyone in the 2WW!!!
Sam - good luck at the Dr's. I'm sure it'll be great to hear the little bean's heartbeat again :-)
Brit - I think it's great you're thinking of getting back into dance.
My week
M - obsess about 2ww
T - obsess about 2ww
W - obsess....seeing a pattern here? lol!
Our kitchen is still in make-over mode and we started in on the downstairs bathroom as well. So getting all of that finished up is going to occupy most of my nights. I have vacation scheduled for Thursday and Friday of this week but I'm not sure if I'll take it. I'd rather not waste the time off if I don't have something specific planned, but then again it would be nice to work around the house more. (g_d - did I just say that!?)
2brides - So glad you and the kids at fun at Dutch Wonderland!
Sam - Good luck with your appointment! I'm sure everything's great with baby g, but it will be nice to have confirmation
I'm going to email you one of the recruiters I worked with when I was trying to find a job - they are really terrific and got me the job I have now in case S is interested.
TwoTrue - I like your to-do list for the week
I'm excited about dancing - but a little nervous! It's been a long time! But I found a place that is supposed to great and pretty low-key - it's drop-in, so you pay by the class, and there's no commitment, which is nice. We'll see...!

We have SO busy lately working on the house and yard/land. With 10 acres to get into shape, it is a lot of work. But Sandy cleared out an area in our "back yard" that we are lovingly calling the "Enchanted Forest". If you saw it, I think you would totally understand why. Will try to get a decent pic soon.
M - Actually in the office working today (back in Tampa...boo hoo). I have been working from home for a week and it sucked putting on work clothes and leaving Sandy...
T - We are starting a new tradition in our house. "Try it Tuesday". We are going to research a new recipe and try it out on Tuesday night so we can expand our culinary horizons a bit.
W - No idea. Maybe go to the movies.
T - Head back home to start our weekend projects. We are expanding our enchanted forest area to include a little sitting area. Plus we need to build a new lil porch and steps for the front door. Plus we need to burn up lots of limbs I trimmed this past weekend. Etc etc....as you can see..the fun never stops!!
our weekend was...well, hectic. that coupled with me being irritable from the pain and adding two crazy dogs to our house made things a bit bumpy. poor andrea had to chase a wild puggle through the neighborhood last night. barefoot. And we live on a very busy street so it was scary for all involved....except the puggle, she had a great time! Then this morning we woke up to accidents all over the house and the fustration and clean up distracted A so much that when she went to pee, she forgot to test! ugh. i'm really hoping this week goes more smoothly than the weekend did!
Brit, welcome to my world! lol. life gets craaazy during softball season
Beginning next week, Andrea will have the softball team she coaches, the softball team she plays on, AND her horseshoe league. thank goodness for more hours of sun light in the summer!
My week will consist of: taking care of the dogs, cleaning, LOTS of gardening, a visit w/ the BFF on wednesday, and my normal thursday babysitting for the cutie patootie twins.

Thanks, Two.
Weekend was... well, okay I guess. It definitely could have been better. The weather was nice and we got a lot done (grocery shopping and returns, both of which we'd been putting off). That said, we got a BFN on a hpt on Mother's Day, which definitely made the Mother's Day celebration at church that much harder (I really didn't think it would bother me as much as it did). After church I took Sylvia out to brunch for Mother's Day, which was fun. The whole day was kinda bittersweet-- trying to celebrate Sylvia as a mother while also trying to absorb the bfn possibility...
Today-- Waiting for beta results. Really. I'm at work but not "at work," if you know what I mean. (BTW, we got two more BFNs this morning, 15dpo/IUI. One regular test then a digital because S thought she saw a faint line. Turns out she was just having a little double-vision because she didn't have her glasses on. The digital's "-NO" was pretty clear.)
Rest of the week-- Work, work, and more work. I'm still trying to get caught up from my week out of town on business + last week when I was probably less productive than usual.
Hope everyone has a great week!
IUI #3 gave us the best 2nd anniv. gift ever: 2 babies! (born 03/09/10)

This weekend was great!
Saturday we went to the beach and were able to see the tide pools. We found crabs, anenomes, hermit crabs, etc. My daughter got to touch a bunch of anenomes! I got a pretty bad sunburn... Didn't realize my sunblock had expired.
Sunday we went to my IL's house and hung out and had birria, rice and beans for dinner. It was a relaxing day.
We meet with our potential RE this weekend! DW is getting more and more exciting about the prospect of me being pregnant. She was rubbing my belly last night and I asked if she was thinking about me being pregnant and she nodded her head and smiled.
Two Mommies Healing Hearts
weekend was nice, lots of housework and also dinner w/ an old friend.
AND this morning I got my pathology report back and the melanoma is "cured"
(but then i found a tick behind my ear, yuck)
Awesome news! :-)
ditto! very awesome!!

yeah! except for the tick part...
we had a weird weekend. friday we went and got our new closet system and were able to take it home that night (we thought we'd have to special order things), so grouting got pushed back and saturday afternoon was spent installing everything instead. we still need to move the clothes in there, but the stuff is all up and ready. we also went to a first birthday party on saturday, which was fun and the birthday girl was super cute.
yesterday we had our parents and her sister over to celebrate mother's day, but had a bit of an incident and her mom ended up breaking her wrist. at our house. i feel terrible. yeah, happy mother's day. :-P
i came in to work late today because we had a baby appointment--when they sit down with you and ask medical history questions and tell you what to eat and what not to, what otc meds you can take, give you free stuff, that kind of thing. i was supposed to start going to the gym again today with my sister, but i woke up this morning and my left shoulder is in incredible pain. i have no idea what i did, but i couldn't even turn my head to check my blind spot while i was driving it hurt so bad. i took some stuff and it's feeling a little better, but not much. i'm going to see if we can try and postpone until tomorrow because there's no way i can go to the gym feeling like this. it stinks.
other than my cake class on thursday we don't have a whole lot on the calendar, just working on the bathroom--although we'll see how i feel and if i'm able to actually do anything to help. our second wedding anniversary is tomorrow, but we don't have anything planned that i know of. we're doing something to celebrate on friday, which is sort of fitting because that's the two year anniversary of our canadian wedding.
well, that got long...
We had a great day yesterday. Went to a early dinner with the family for mothers day then went to the B-52's concert last night. I think I scared our usher when we came in because we were chatting with him as we walked to our seats and he asked me when I was due. I told him I was due in the week, adn soon he came back with the EMT that was on staff for the theater last night so if I had any problems we could get help. It kind of made me giggle, but it was nice they were concerned. The B-52s were awesome. So much fun in concert.
Tonight should be the first softball game of the season. We were suuposed to start last week, but both games were rained out. I aslo go to the chiropractor tonight before the game.
Tomorrow is an OB appointment so hopefully I will be at least a little dialated this time. I am ready to get the show on the road.
Thursday is softball again if it doesn't rain.
Other than that we are just on baby watch and working on things around the house.

My weekend was good. The pup got to play with a little pug puppy, and they were adorable together (pictures on blog)! We also took her up to my parent's place on Sunday. It was a nice day. I was a little worried about how Mother's Day would feel... but it was... okay. Only a moment or two of sadness.
As for my week.. most of the week is just normal work stuff.
Friday however, will be quite busy!
We pick up Daisy Saturday morning and made no other plans for the weekend, so that we can take it easy at home with her.
As long as I don't get my period before then, I'll probably test in the a.m. (::gulp:: I'm really nervous about it.), and we drop Daisy off that morning to be spayed (my poor girl!!). Then my work friend's bachelorette party is that evening, which will either be a sober event or a drunkfest depending on the mornings results.
Wish us luck with all that Friday holds.
Maybe I don't have a heightened sense of smell, but I've never smelled any vagina on my pants. -- TSD

Our weekend was pretty hectic.
It's a huge adjustment and I felt pretty much like a failure all weekend. Someone wished me a Happy Mother's Day and I wasn't even sure what to say. Am I a mom? I am not sure.
We took the girls to see my family and visit with our moms, which was a lot of fun. I was impressed that we managed the trip and just laughed when both girls screamed the whole way home. I recorded the chaos on my cell phone for posterity :-)
