I don't think I have ever been so embarrassed

We were at dinner last night with my in-laws for Mother's Day, the waiter asked how many moms we have at the table and my MIL raises her hand and so does my SIL, well my lovely, charming, so adorable I could have choked him ( said w/ sarcasm! Smile) H says and 1 expectant one! My MIL screamed and I swear the whole restaurant turned and looked. Well I am not expecting but my H thought it would be a funny joke. I have never felt my face turn so red! At that point I looked at the waiter and said I will have wine, lots of it please! On the way home he appologized for embarrassing me and said he didn't think it would have caused that much of a reaction!

Anyone have an embarrassing in-law moment?

Re: I don't think I have ever been so embarrassed

  • OMG.  Your poor MIL.  How could he have thought that would have been a funny joke?  Wink  LOL

I don't spend enough time with my inlaws for them to really do anything embarrasing to me.  Both of his step-parents are just annoying period.

  • OMG! I can't believe your DH said that... I swear... men can be very stupid at times. Hello--of course there is going to be a huge uproar!

I can't think of anything super embarrassing other than the sarcastic comments that my IL's say to me all the time... blah!

  • Big Smile Hehe!  While it's embarrassing & annoying on your DH's part it's still kinda funny! Sorry! :)
  • Nothing really embaressing, but DH does this to me...often. Except he usually says it infront of my parents...he'll look at me and say, "So....should we tell them?" and i'm going shut up, shut up shut up ...the whole time...and he keeps on saying Babe c'mon we agreed to tell them.......he will eventually quit....it's never caused an uproar...my mom knows he's a jokester, but he does this constantly.

    Atleast he apologized!
