Too many pictures not sure what to do
I have so many pictures of the little bear and I'm not sure what to do with them. I'm not a scapbook person simply because I'm lazy and will not take the time to sit and get creative. I do like to be organized, though. And, it doesn't seem like they have those plastic insert books anymore. What do you guys do with all your little one's pictures?
Re: Too many pictures not sure what to do
They still sell the picture insert photo albums. Perhaps that would be easier than scrapbooking and you can keep everything in order.
Thank Girls!
Alisa - I've done a couple of those books and I agree it's tough getting started. They turn out pretty nice, though
Mindy - I do have the hard drive thing for the pictures and that's a great idea with the folders. Thanks!
Cal - Ok, thanks I will keep looking...
My main problem is the photographs that we order off of kodak and the professional one's, what do you do with them. How do you keep them nice? It would like a shrine in my house if I framed anymore of her pics. Any book recommendations for the scrapbook challenged?
OH!! I have that same problem....all of the professional photos that we have had taken...what the heck do you do with them. They are all in a box...seems like a lot of money spent to sit in a box....
For my professional pics, I bought an 8 x 10 porforlio folder (like what the artist use) and store them all in there. I have them separated by year. One for julian's 1st year and we are working on year 2 and combining with year 3.
As for digital photos, I make a slide show at the end of the year. I put my 2 or 3 faves from each month, plus all holidays, family outsiding, and any other fun event. With each show, I also add all the picture files for the whole year. Again, I have 2 dvd at this point. 1 for year 1 and one for year 2.
the only pics that I keep in my computer are the current year. Old photos again, are saved on my slide show dvd and also backed up on my external.
I also make scrapbooks, but I tend to make them but never get around to actually adding the pics. I am hoping that is my summer project.
I've gotten some cheap insert albums at Ross.
You could buy a photo box for pics you don't want to frame or put in an album.
I switch out my pictures in frames from time to time.
I have just finally figured out what I am doing. Not sure if you've already printed all of them though?
I do scrapbook, so I am printing only my FAVE FAVES to print out and put in their scrapbooks. (I am doing a scrapbook for each of them for their first year and then after that, just one "family scrapbook" per year).
My runner-up faves will go in a blurb book that I print once a year.
Everything else is just staying on the computer and I am getting better at deleting the really bad ones.
