Recs for water aerobics classes???

To burn off ALL of the alcohol and food I was consuming on vaca, I started doing water aerobics. Not only did I enjoy it, I burned calories, met new people and since I hate sweating in front of people... in the water, no problem there. I would like to keep up with it, any recs? Are the YMCA classes any good? TIA!

Re: Recs for water aerobics classes???

  • I have done the YMCA water aerobics class in the past and enjoyed it.  I'm currently a member of a gym that offers the water aerobics but the class is usually too crowded so I don't use it.

  • Thanks MG! I will have to check them out.
  • I used to teach at the Y so I'm a little partial to say their program is good.  :)  I mean they're as good as how much you put into it as well.  I personally like the deep water aerobics better than shallow because I feel its a little more difficult.  I've also taken the water aerobics class at 24 hour fitness and came out "sweating" from that class and it was in shallow water.  So I would also recommend 24 hour fitness if you have one close to you.
