Anyone else sick of hearing about Favre?

Ok, I watch Sportscenter.  I love PTI.

I am SO sick of the constant Brett Favre updates.  Honestly, I really don't like Favre anymore.  He was a great QB and I thought he was terrific with GB, but his "I'm retiring, no I'm not, yes I am, wait, no I'm not" act is old and tired just like he is.

 Hang it up, Favre.

I'll cheer for the Lions because I'm a MI girl and it's my obligation, and I'll boo the hell out of the Vikings if they sign Favre.

  • I am sooo tired of it as well. I have lost so much respect for him since last seasons debacle. After everything that everyone did for him the first time he retired and then to come back to the Jets, then leave (because he is mister interception and he screwed the pooch along with the coach), now this. Argh! Stay away!

Favre, you should have went out on a high note with respect, now you are a just a joke.

  • I am!!! It is driving me insane! But I was never a fan to begin with..

My husband is a huge Favre/Packers fan and even he thinks enough is enough.

I'm from MN and a semi-Vikings fan and I REALLY hope he doesn't sign with them. Ugh!

  • OMG. I was hoping someone would say something about this!!!! He seriously needs to just QUIT. And stay that way. I am so tired of hearing about him on ESPN. Seriously? WHO CARES!!!

  • For real. Does the AARP have a football team that he can join?

LOL!  Thank you for sharing! I loved this part:

And then we'll watch him do his retirement dance over to yet another team. Do you realize there then would be 28 NFL cities without the privilege of cheering for Favre? How have they survived this long without ol' No. 4?

So Favre will move on to San Francisco and Seattle and Houston, and maybe a few others, until his arm starts to fall off and he starts to throw interceptions in his Wrangler commercials. This will just prove how much he loves football.

  • I agree, I can't believe this is still going on.

  • I completely agree! It's ridiculous and he looks like a fool with the way he has behaved in the past few seasons.
  • I am sick of it.

I am from Wisconsin and love the Packers. I used to really like Farve. He is just dragging it out and it is making me ill. I am losing respect for him and he was such a great player. Ugh!

It would be even worse if he signed with the Vikings.

If he needs to be in the spotlight he could have plenty of opportunity to commenate or coach. I do not understand why he does not do this...

  • I am so glad that other people feel the same way!! ?I want to scream, "either retire or play". ?The league will go on if you don't play, just make up your damn mind and stick with it! ?DH doesn't understand how I feel because he loves Brett. ?Ahhh!!
  • I've been sick of hearing about him since he left the Packers...our local paper STILL writes about him in the Packers section, even though he isn't on the team anymore.  I get that he was a big part of the Packers & that he was great, but...yeah.  It's over, move on.

And I hate, hate, hate the "I'm retired, no I'm not" dance.  I hated it when Michael Jordan did it, I hated it when Roger Clemens did it, and I hate it now.  Stop being an attention whore and make a decision.

    Love,

A Packers Fan, not a Brett Favre fan (any more, at least)

It's like he's doing the Hokey Pokey with retirement.  You put your right foot in.  You take your right foot out.  You put your right foot in retirement and you shake it all about.
