Okay so I JUST finished my MPH and graduated on Sat. however, I have toyed with the idea of getting an RN to go with my MPH... now I wouldn't go to school for at least a year... maybe more... however, I would like to take a look at RN programs... I am not interested in a BSN however, if I have to do that I suppose I can... it just seems a little pointless to me at this point what with my BS and masters... any thoughs/ideas/suggestions? Thanks!
Re: RN Programs?
hi! I am not from Indiana (but from Illinois), but saw your post and was intrigued.
I also work in public health and am getting my MPH right now (not finished until 2010). I think getting an RN w/ your MPH would be beneficial. I have also toyed w/ that idea as well and would rather just do the RN and not the BSN (both would be about the same time though-fyi since you already have your bachelors degree).
I know here in peoria, where I live, the community college has the RN program, but if you haven't taken chemistry in the last two years, you have to retake it. Check w/ your school about this.
What do u do in public health right now? Government work or non-profit??
I'd also look into community programs like Ivy Tech, Brown Mackie, etc.
Glad to know I'm not the only nut considering going back (on?) for another degree.....
