Has anyone sold anything on Craigslist, and successful in doing so?

My laptop recently bit the dust and now the dishwasher just went out. UGH! The timing could not be wor$e! I have some stuff I want to try to sell, were you successful with Craigs list?

Re: Has anyone sold anything on Craigslist, and successful in doing so?

  • I haven't sold anything but we bought a bunch of furniture off craigslist.

  • I used to sell stuff and buy stuff off craigslist all the time.  Always had success.  With all the news media about how unsafe craigslist is, makes me worry...but I've never had an issue with them...ever.
  • i havent had good luck trying to sell things on there. ?i tried to sell a couple coats back in the winter. ?this lady called me all the time and when i finally met her she said, oh, it's got some wear spots on it. YEAH, it's 20 friggin dollars lady! LOL. ?some people!

    ?

i'd give it a shot, just meet them in a public location. ?GL!?

  • Thanks for the feedback ladies! Yes
  • We recently sold our couch, tv, and clothes dryer on craigslist.  Either meet in public or have at least one other person with you for safety IMO (even without all of the recent media).  GL.
  • We haven't sold, but have bought through Craigslist and haven't had problems.
  • That seems to be the consensus. I opted for selling on e-bay instead. Thanks again ladies.
  • I've sold tons of things and haven't had any problems.  I like it better than Ebay because you don't have to deal with shipping and stuff.  I never put my phone number on there in the initial post.  I correspond by email a couple of times and then talk over the phone to make exchange arrangements.  Good luck either way.
