Where to get cheap landscaping stone?
We've got an area between our raised garden beds that I would like to put down stone. Ideally, slate colored stone to "match" the stepping stones we have elsewhere in the yard.
HD has HUGE pieces of stuff for like $7-10 each that are just a little too big (and rather expensive).
Does anyone know of a quarry or other place where you can buy stone direct or buy smaller pieces (I would guess these would be the "seconds" of the stone world since it seems like most people want slabs at least 1 ft wide & several feed long. I'd want pieces smaller than 1sqft.)

I drive past this every day, but have never stopped so don't know about price - but there's a stone place on Lee Highway called Sisler's Stone.

My masonry guy got stone for our patio at some place in Springfield, but I didn't ask the name.
There is a quarry type place I think in Potomac, and also a place up on Gude Dr. in Rockville called Jack Irwin.
I've never been to either but I read about them on a gardenweb forum post.
