So far, FL tops CA
I went to get my drivers license today and it only took about 20-30 minutes start to finish and I got my license right there! CA is about 2 hours even if you have an appt and then you wait weeks to get it.
I then went to register my car. So cheap! And I got my plates right there! Once again, didn't take 3 hours, cost me 2k like it did to register my car in CA (more like 200) and I already have my plates. Now I'm really official. I was so excited that it was so easy and took so little time!

Some of the offices now work really fast. I love how they have a system now instead of making you wait forever like they used to. Congrats on being official!

Welcome to FL! I just moved here 1 year ago today actually. I moved from OK. It's really starting to feel like home, esp since we just bought a house.
So, one weird thing about Central FL from an outsider--the Appliance Direct infomercials. Have you seen them yet? The very first weekend my husband and I lived here we turned on the tv and watched this thing for about 15 min just saying "WTF?!? What weird @ss place have we just moved to?" It is quite....something. LOL
lol...I have not witnessed this as of yet. One weird thing I noticed right away is the commercials for Kia, etc where they pimp our their kids to sell stuff. You don't see that in MN or CA. lol.
