Re: LOST
Yea I cried for Sawyer. I can't handle a guy screaming like that. It got me in Lord of the Rings when Gandalf fell and Frodo screamed too. It makes me cry!!!
I have no idea what the heck will happen. I don't think it is Locke. I think it is an imposter. I wonder if Jacob really does die though, because he was alive for so long. Can you kill Jacob?? (BTW it was really obvious that that guy was Jacob throughout the whole show... at least to me it was). Still a GREAT episode! Can't wait until next season!
It was a night omg and wtf at our house. It was awesome and I can't wait until January. My head is spinning from all the new info.
The beginning rocked! When I saw the Black Rock I was overjoyed and when the guy in black (Esau? Horus?) said "Nice talking to you Jacob" I almost fell off my chair. Bam! They gave him to us right at the beginning of the episode. No guessing, no games, so it seems.
Some theories - guy in black is the smoke monster and not-dead Locke. Totally floored that he told Richard to tell non-dead wounded Locke that he HAD to die. Yeah right, he HAD to die so he could pretend to be him as part of the loophole. And it makes sense that the smoke monster manipulated Ben to follow Locke (who was outside of the temple gate when that happened). Poor Locke, his heart was with the island but it looks like he probably got screwed. Dead is dead?!?
Loved how Jacob touched each of the Losties. He showed himself to Hurley, so the dead Losties that Hurley sees, could they be the guy in black or Jacob? If Jacob can leave the island maybe he can too. Seems like both Jacob and man in black are playing everyone.
I am so not sure who is good and who is bad. I think the person in the cabin was the guy in black, using Christian to speak pretending to be Jacob. Or the guy in black could have had Jacob in the cabin. It seems whoever was being held there by the circle of ash which was broken in 2007 when the new airplane people got there. If I remember correctly I think Ben and Locke stepped over the ash to get to the cabin. Ben can summon the smoke monster, if that is also the guy in black, has he been manipulated into thinking guy in black is Jacob. I wonder if Richard knows what is going on with that.
Speaking of Richard, I have a feeling he might be the Captain of the Black Rock since he did not seem to be around before then. He seems to work for Jacob, wonder what his relationship to the guy in black is.
I think the bomb was meant to go off like Miles said. I think the blast moved the Black Rock to the jungle and loped off the top of the statue. Since those were in place when the plane crashed that would support that the theory that the bomb was meant to go off and they were just fullfilling their destiny.
Loved that they gave us some Rose and Bernard resolution.
Any guesses to what is going to happen next?? Who is good? Who is bad?
Any relation to The Other's obsession with who is good person/bad person?
What is the loophole?
I'm so glad I finally got to watch it all yesterday. Awesome episode and great finale. I can't believe we have to wait that long until next year.
Locke is definitely dead. The man at the beginning of the episode who was with Jacob is able to reincarinate other people, that was the loophole he talked about at the beginning. I believe that he first incarnated Christian and now Locke. He may also be the smoke monster but I'm not 100% convinced of that yet and from reading online, it seems a toss up on what people think. I like Denise's theory of the smoke monster leading him though.
I loved the flashbacks with Jacob though. Very interesting that he was not in the flashback with Juliet though. And the only one at the Swan who did not have a flashback was Miles. Maybe this means trouble for the two of them. I found it also really interesting how Jacob told Kate and Sawyer things that they didn't follow, which lead them to the island. Jacob also saw both Sun and Jin.
I also loved that we saw Rose and Bernard finally!
SO crazy that Locke's really dead - and do you think Jacob really died? Can you "kill" Jacob?
I am dying to know Richard's connection to all of this.
Also - where is Claire?
Farraday's Mom is an interesting character.
Crazy, crazy, crazy - so do we all think that the next season will begin at LAX?
DH thinks the rest of the series will be about their lives still intertwining even if the crash had never happened.
I certainly hope it's not just that, though... so many questions left about the Island.
AND - WHO are the original "others?"
In my bag: Canon 60D, 50mm 1.4, Tamron 28-75 2.8, 430exii
Original others could be descendants of the Black Rock crew (assuming they had some ladies on board).
I want to know more about Richard, I tell DH he is my boyfriend.
I am re-thinking my man in black is smokey, maybe he just has control of him.
Yeah - where is Claire?
Since there is a "loophole" it seems like Jacobs demise is likely possible, but maybe he has been working the Losties to prevent that (they are coming).
Do you think the war Widmore predicted is between Jacob and fake-Locke (man in black)?
I agree.
And I would really like to know where Claire is. I said the same thing to DH at the end of the episode.
It's interesting to me that originally we thought the war was between Widmore and Ben, but really it's more between Jacob and Black mysterious guy.
I had been guessing that Juliette was pregnant. Thought her OB research connection and the fact the she was in love with Sawyer while on the island would have made this interesting. None of the Losties that got pg on the island gave birth on the island, so I thought maybe she would...
Also her emotional reaction to Sawyer seeming to still be in love with Kate would have added to this theory...
I hope I was wrong after her fall! Yikes.
