Garage Tool Chest

For Brett's graduation gift I want to get him a nice (but not crazy expensive) tool chest for the garage. A few people from the family have indicated that want to buy him a stack on piece so I would buy the base and they would be the next part and someone else would buy the top so that he got a whole set!

What brands do you recommend if you have bought one or your hubby has one? Thanks!

My husband swears by the Craftsman ones with the ball bearings in the drawers. It's the only kind he will buy-we have two of the huge rolling ones and a few of the top parts on the tool bench. They are both black, I don't know if the color has anything to do with higher quality or just a matter of personal taste, but he always buys the black ones. They are pretty middle of the road price wise-not as cheap as one you would get at K-Mart, and not as expensive as Snap On. HTH!

Both DH and his dad really like the tools and accessories from Sears...Craftsman.

Jennie, Matt has a Craftsman one also that he really likes.  He Hasn't had anything else to compare it to though.

IF we had room for one, I would buy hubby the Craftsman ones from Sears. He salivates over them each time we go in there (which I try not to do too often as the excessive drool gets a bit embarrassing). They do take up space, though!

Last night DH and I were at Sears getting him a grill set and they had this Craftsman toolbox that has blue lights under the bottom, and a radio, date/time/temp., etc thing built it.  Plus a part that pulls out that is a flat surface you can work on.  I thought it was pretty cool.
