lol - you guys are funny! i can't bb and drive at the same time
We had some ups and downs. The down being that it ended up being an ICI not IUI....apparently the paperwork that came w/ the sperm didnt specifically indicate if it was washed or unwashed and the midwives wanted documentation of washed before they would do an IUI (which makes sense). Unfortunately, due to the time difference, the bank was closed during our appointment, thus we couldnt get them to fax any documentation. The irony of all ironies is that when we got home - just now - the ONLY thing in our mailbox was a reciept from midwest that CLEARLY specified that they were washed samples. we had to chuckle at that.
despite the last minute switch the ICI, it was a fantastic experience. So sweet and exciting!! It was almost overwhelming in a very happy way. I love that the midwives are warm and patient - everything was just so special
And yes - I pushed the plunger!!!

ctbride - I am glad it went well, even though a change of plans. This is probably hindsight now AND I think the washed status in in the paper work of the shipper and on their website. Regardless....sending you good vibes for baby from the other couple using midwest (simultaneously no less!)
yeah, for some reason our paperwork didnt contain it...or at least not by the time of our appointment. and they wouldn't take the website (they wanted to confirm that those exact vials had been washed, kwim?).
honestly? i'm completely over it, and feeling realistically hopeful

So glad to hear it went well, even with the small hiccup. Who knows, maybe that was exactly how it was meant to be for you two.
I will have to let Sylvia know you pushed the plunger. I told her this morning that there had been some discussion about that on the Wednesday post yesterday, and she immediately stopped what she was doing to get online and encourage you to do it. It was precious to see how much she already cares about you, having just recently "met" you!
