Because I need your ideas...
How do you de-stress?
I'm having one of those days where I think I really shouldn't have gotten out of bed (and if one ridiculous thing happens at work I may just quit).
Re: 5/15 Question of the day
While you're stuck at work, why don't you go for a walk on your lunch break? Sometimes just getting out and getting some fresh air can help relieve tension.
And for me, outside of work, I find being in the water to be incredibly relaxing. During winter, I enjoy long bubble baths and a good book. In the sumer I like floating in the pool in my innertube.
At work: Taking a hammer to a keyboard seems to work great. Of course, I work in a computer repair shop where we have 1,000 keyboards so its not a big deal. I've discussed that we should install a punching bag in the back here because if you can imagine, working in a computer repair shop with my husband and his best friend...there's a lot of frustration and stress to go around.
At home: Bubble bath and a glass of wine.
A walk with the dog helps me.
And lots and lots of wine. Don't quit yet. You're almost done!!
I go for a run every morning to clear my head and get ready for the day. I also love to bake and cook, and that is a stress reliever for me. Watching TV helps too, especially if it's something mindless and fun like Beverly Hills 90210, Gilmore Girls, Friends, etc.
Hope your day gets better!

So excited to meet Amelia Catherine!
For me getting out of the office does the trick. At home I do some yoga or go for a walk or clean----yes cleaning is calming for me.
Work out
Go to the shooting range
Listen to music
Doing something that physically removes me from the hellacious day (i.e. and possibly tmi, having to strip for a bubble bath feels like literally taking the day off). Wine helps. Also, when I come home, I just try to come home. I don't take the dog out right away, I don't start cooking dinner, I just sit down for a few minutes and do nothing.
