2 Weddings? Need some advice =)

I have a friend who was married twice. I went to his first wedding and then to the second with the current wife.  They have been together for years.  They are now having their wedding blessed in the catholic church with a reception at a hall to follow. My husband (as of May 1st!!!!! Yay!!!) and we can only make it to the wedding blessing and not the reception following.

What is etiquette as far as gifts goes? Tia!

  • A nice card saying congrats/god bless.

I wouldn't be giving a major gift. If you feel you must, a vase or a nice picture fram would do.

  • I think a card and something small would be nice.  I agree w/ fivelette.
  • A card is all that is needed here. I dont think gifts are.

I would give a small gift, but nothing like I would give to their first wedding together.  You can get them a gift cert to a restaurant so they can enjoy dinner together...

    Me too.

  • If you went to their non-religious wedding and gave a gift, I think a card and/or a small token would be fine. Hopefully they aren't having a church blessing just so they can collect more gifts. I also wouldn't feel guilty if other people gave bigger gifts because they may not have given anything the first or second time around.
I'm pretty sure it's pronounced your mom's a moron and if you didn't have your name legally changed by the age of 22, so are you. Unless you're from another continent. -Groomz
