Indiana Nesties
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
I took the two layoffs quite hard and realized I needed to see a counselor about it and some other things. However, I'm a person of action and after two months (seeing them every week), we were just talking about random sh!t, my past, etc. and not addressing the problem and what I can do to fix it.
I am on the SWside of town, but I am willing to drive to find someone that is going to address the problems and help me come up with a solution and not just BS for an hour each week.
If you have any recommendations, please feel free to email me bartonhounds AT gmail.com
TIA!
Move along, nothing to see here.....
Re: counselor recs.
I think a lot of counselors try to learn more about your past to kind of put things into perspective about how you react to things.
If you want help just with dealing with the layoffs and not talking about other stuff, maybe a career coach would help rather than a psychologist.
I don't have any specific people in mind, but I wish you luck! I know how frustrating unemployment can be. I can only imagine how much worse it would be in this economy or with both spouses dealing with it.
