My husband and I are driving to Chicago to spend a weekend in June. Any suggestions for a reasonably priced hotel either in the city or in a suburb where we can hope on public transportation and get to Navy Pier, US Cellular field easily? (Minimal transfers and that sort of thing.) TIA
Re: Weekend in Chicago
easy transportation access is best found downtown, close to the Red Line CTA. i think the best way to find cheap hotels in Chicago is to use Hotwire or Priceline. anything in the Loop/Mag Mile/Streeterville/Wacker Dr areas will be great locations (close to transportation) and you'll get decent hotels.
cheaper hotels i know of off hand, are the Best Western Grant Park and the Essex. those are just south of downtown and tend to be more reasonable, but they also have fewer amenities.
Because we're fancy like that.
