Has anyone been? I went over their yesterday because I had a gift card to use at JCPenney. WHAT A MESS! I couldn't believe what a disaster it was. We were literally walking through construction zones to get from JCP to Paradise Bakery and there were no crosswalks either! I couldn't even tell what other stores were open because it was such a disaster. It doesn't seem like it's going to be very convenient when finished either, things are spaced so far apart that I don't think anyone will want to shop there in the winter months.
Does anyone else feel this way or am I just not getting the vision of how great this place is going to be when complete???
Re: Hamilton Towne Center Mall
We live like 3 mins away and it does look like a mess right now since the mall is still under construction. I would come back when the place is done and have all the amenities (like crosswalks, etc) and retail spots open.
I'm just glad it's right around my neighborhood and when it's done I won't have to travel far to shop except when Nordstrom's opens at the Fashion Mall.
I've been a couple of times, but always only to one store... I agree that it's a mess right now, but what do you expect from a construction site? I'm not a huge fan of these "lifestyle centers" where everything is outside. Sure it works in California, but when it's really hot or really cold I'm not going to want to walk around the mall and browse like I would at Castleton. However, I am pretty excited about having a mall so close, no matter how it's set up.
I haven't been to Hamilton Towne Center yet, but I go to Clay Terrace frequently. I understand that it's not the most convenient for browsing the mall in the winter months, but I appreciate the open-air concept. I'm not much of a mall browser...I am much more focused on getting in and out of the shops I want to visit.
I can get to the one or two stores I want to shop at much easier than mapping the mall ahead of time, parking at the nearest entrance and still having to walk a ways to get to the few stores that I may want to visit.
