Doggy Day care

We are going on a trip for a few days and need to board our puppy, an 11 month old golden retriever. We live in the San Gabriel Valley, near Pasadena. I guess I am just super over protective, after her last doggy day care where we stood outside and watched for a few minutes (we always do) and a bigger dog pinned her down by her neck for over a minute while she whimpered and none of the staff seemed to notice while we were yelling and banging on the door for them to re-direct the dog.?

Anyone, any suggestions of places you like would be very well appreciated! (Yes, I posted on "pets" as well) :) ?

Re: Doggy Day care

  • If you're flying out of LAX, I would recommend Go Dog LA.  It's a cage-free facility and the owners and employees are amazing.  It's right at the 110 and 10 so it's convenient to go to on the way down the 110 to the airport.  You have to go for an interview sort of thing with your dog, just to see how they react to the pack, but I'm sure your Golden will do fine.   Check it out!!  You can read reviews on Yelp and/or visit their website godogla.com

    Good luck!
