Bunk beds

Hi girls... I am not trying for #2 quite yet, but we are thinking about our house situation with two kids.  We only have 2 bedrooms...this was a 5 year plan that is looking more like a 25 year plan with this economy (gosh, I hope that was an exaggeration!)  Anyway, I am trying to think of how we will maximize our space here and was dreaming up a crib/bunk combo sort of thing.  Is there anything like that out there?  Obviously we can do bunk beds once the little one is big enough, but until then, I was wondering if any of you know of anything.  I did some Google searches and didn't find much.  Our master bedroom is a tiny bit bigger than the 2nd bedroom (both have full baths attached) so we were thinking if we can't find an appropriate combo we might switch rooms with the kids, but we would have a tiny closet and have to ditch half our furniture for it to work.  (Not that I'm not willing, but it would be a tight squeeze and I'm going for best situation...)

TIA for your ideas.

Re: Bunk beds

  • Michaela and Rhian had to share a room for awhile. We bought a loft bed from Ikea for Michaela and had Rhian's crib underneath. It wasn't an ideal set up but was the best we could do at the time.
