Good morning everyone. How is it today?
It's comforting after coming back from a sometimes-here, sometimes-off schedule last week (buying the car, MH having vacation, etc) that at least this week is KIND OF a short week: they're closing the office on Friday at 1:00!
Re: Monday
Good morning!
DH and I are on vacation this week, not sure how often I'll be on. I'm working on my stupid time sheet for work that is due at 10 am. I should have done it on Friday at work but was wrapping other things up before I left.
We're going to the zoo today. It's supposed to be 70 today and 78 tomorrow (but I think the zoo may be free tomorrow and I don't feel like battling nicer weather and free admission). So we're going today, which I think will be fine weather wise. Not too hot, just right.
Ok, so tell us all about Saturday Paula! ?how was your walk? ?And how is the new car???
I'm doing ok today. ?Just trying to get back in the swing of things. ?I think I need at least one more hour of sleep after Saturday (woke up at 7, drove to MIL's, drove to Morgantown, went to graduation at 6 pm, drove back to MIL's - got there after midnight, got up at 8 the next morning, drove home, went to dance recital, got home and napped for an hour, got up for a couple of hours, went back to bed).?
Morning!
Mel you have a great week to be off of work! It's supposed to be nice almost everyday!
Paula do tell how your walk was
I'm doing alright this morning. We got a lot accomplished this weekend. Although I woke up this morning and I'm even more swollen then before and had to leave my e-ring at home
I didn't want it to get stuck on my finger.
The car is great - we love having the moonroof!! We decided not to buy a custom seat cover and just use an old Queen sheet in the backseat because it covers more and it all tucked in. We found one carseat cover locally, but it's faux leather, which I think would get really hot for Xena in the backseat.
The walk WAS SO COLD AND WINDY. Our faces were windburnt!! We had our top fundraiser sprain her ankle the night before, but she came for moral support, which was nice. A lot of our team really struggled to raise money, but we still brought in $2500+!! Next year, I am NOT walking with my entire team because it took us only 5 minutes less to walk the 5K than it did the 10K last year! I'm also seriously tempted to email the organizer and ask her if they can request strollers to start at the end of the line because we got blocked SO MANY TIMES by people with 5 strollers wide blocking the entire road, just strolling along taking their time when we wanted to walk faster.
Here are some pics (more on FB):
Too bad it was so chilly for your walk Paula! But you guys did an awesome job raising money!
And yay for the new car. I'm so glad you like it!
I have no idea who Lynninlove is, but TECKIE'S PREGNANT?!
Wow! This is news to me! Congrats to Teckie...anyone know how far along she is?
