Anyone see Phelps?

We caught the Charlotte UltraSwim meet late Saturday and Sunday on the Universal Sports Channel (we love this channel!). It was a neat swim meet. They had 3 finals for each event so we got to see many great swims.
The best event was the 100 Backstroke - Michael Phelps vs. Aaron Peirsol vs. Ryan Lochte. This wasn't a rested or shaved meet but they did wear the special suits. In the end Peirsol beat Phelps and Lochte was 4th. I love Peirsol and thought it was cool to see that Phelps isn't invincible.
Phelps also raced the 100 Free and got beat by the France guy who currently is the world record holder in the the 50 free.

We saw parts of it. I didn't even know we got that channel. Hubby is the best for finding these obscure things for me
I love when swimming is on!
I totally missed the 100 backstroke race - really wish I would have seen that one. I wasn't really surprised about the 100 Free for Phelps though - that's not his event. Not sure why people were making a big deal about it.
I'm glad Piersol won too though!
I don't really understand why everyone seems surprised that Phelps lost to Piersol in the 100 back. ?That is Piersol's event, he's the world record holder in it. ?I don't know why Phelps would be favored to win it.
Also, Aaron Piersol is really hot. ?That is all.?
