What to Wear to Piccolo Spoleto?
My ILs have invited us to go to a play with them at Piccolo Spoleto (small theater companies instead of the large productions). The play is from 6-8. I've been to the venue before and wore a sundress but it was a matinee performance so I'm not quite sure how formal to go for this one.
My MIL doesn't like to get dressed up, so I have a feeling that she will be in a long skirt (probably khaki) and nice, but not dressy top. I don't want to make her feel underdressed, but I don't think going that casual is appropriate given the time of day.
Thoughts?
Re: What to Wear to Piccolo Spoleto?
I went through this recently, I had to go to an evening wedding and they said it wasn't formal but it was at 6 pm (which should be formal dress). Anyway, I was able to find a dark blue dress, not too low cut and went to the ankle, it was very nice and semi formal. Look for something that is suited for night, but isn't flashy. I know this probably doesn't help too much, if I can find a pic I will pm you.
