Poll: when the spouse is away

When your SO/DW/DH is out of town what bad habits do you start/let out?

Me - I don't make the bed (at least not everyday).  I'm such the rebel! Stick out tongue

Re: Poll: when the spouse is away

  • lol, i don't make the bed anyway! of course, she's usually coming home and climbing right in since we work opposites, so it's a bit pointless for me.

um...i spend way too much time playing around on my computer. usually that's reserved for after she leaves for work. ;-)

  • I eat dinner on the couch.

P.S. We NEVER make our bed, I'm really jealous of those that do.

  • 1) spend way too much time on the computer

    2) stop cooking dinner and do more scrounging/eating out

yup, another rebel over here Stick out tongue

  • I let the dishes pile up. And then of course I'm always scrambling to get the kitchen cleaned up before she gets home...

  • I let my daughter in the kitchen to cook with me.  DW is a big advocate of no kids in the kitchen whereas I like kids to learn about cooking.
  • I am a total slug.  I surf the net way too much and I watch bad tv all day!  Oh and I listen to the radio at night instead of S white noise machine.

  • Thankfully, she never goes away. But if she did and the kids weren't here I would probably stay up really late, order in Chinese and lounge in my PJ's all day.
  • Cecilia isn't really ever out of town, but when she's not home, I don't cook for myself.  I don't know what it is, but I just don't like to make a meal for just me.  I'll eat cereal or ice cream Smile

Also when left to my own devices I will spend too long in front of the computer and/or tv (usually shows C doesn't like!).

L used to travel a lot at the beginning of our relationship. I used to not make the bed, get take out from my favorite mexican place that she didn't really like, go hang out in bookstores and read magazines/drink mocha, watch tv shows that she didn't like, and go out with my friends from college.

Now she rarely travels - although she's done a few trips since we had kids. The routine doesn't change much - so little is different - except I am exhausted from having to do everythng solo.

  • Sandy said when I'm away she smokes too much and eats too much. As for me...well...I actually try to do atleast one productive thing so she will be pleased when she gets home. Oh and then I seem to just kill time waiting on her...we HATE to be apart!! What a couple of rebels we are....ha ha!!

  • I don't make the bed and I let the dishes pile up. I stay up too late. And I make dinners that involve dairy, wheat, and vegetables :) She can only eat small amounts of dairy and wheat, and hates vegetables, so a lot of our meals involve meat, corn and rice, with vegetables prepared on the side for me.?
