Hi Ladies.
I'm looking for pictures of kitchen tables and/or ideas/suggestions of places to shop for a new one. We're looking for a raised cafe or bar style table and stools to go with it. Also, do any of the Upstate/G'ville ladies have an experience/know anything about Unclaimed Furniture @ I-85/Hwy 101??? I'm thinking of heading that way next.
All help/suggestions are welcome.
TIA!!!

Last time we drove by unclaimed furniture there wasn't a car in the parking lot. You may want to call and see if they're still in business... Maybe they were just closed on that day. It was mid-day on a Sat though so it struck me as odd that there were NO cars.
btw-what's the "trip of doom"?
Ahh we looked at local stores when we were buying furniture and didn't find anything comparable to the styles and prices we found elsewhere, so in the end, availability, and style from a chain won with us :-P
You may want to try End Up Furniture. It's on Woodruff right across the street from Wal Mart. They're local, and they can try and order, or lookf or items that you're looking for. Take in a pic of styles you like and they can try to find something for you.
The Trip of Doom is a trip with my inlaws to Lakeland Florida to see DH's grandma. It's the biggest sh!t show i've ever seen. We are flying into orlando, and we all got hotel rooms in orlando for the first night since we're getting in late, but then BIL and FIL decided they want to go straight to lakeland after reservations were made, (and reservations were made online and we lose a "one night deposit" which is the entire cost of the hotel if we don't use it.)
This also means they're going to arrive at 80 year old grandma's house at TWO or THREE AM. Ridiculous. DH put his foot down and said we're still staying in Orlando and we'll meet them there the next morning. Thank goodness for that.
Then MIL convinced DH he did NOT need the van he was planning to rent and instead for him to rent a compact car (the price difference was $40 TOTAL, so $20 per family) So we would have had 5 full size adults plus luggage in a compact car on a 2 hour drive back to the airport. I put my foot down and DH called and upgraded to the Van again. I did not need to spend that much time in a confined space with them.
Anyway it's just a weekend trip, but it's going to be exhausting and will totally try my patience.
At least it's "just a weekend" and not any longer-that can be considered the upside I guess. You'll be fine, I promise.
Thank you again for the help!! Wood You is great too-I've been in there a few times!! Going to go try End Up too. Will let you know what I find.
Yes a night to decompress would be fantastic!
Did you guys ever book a vacation for the fall? We decided to do a slight upgrade on our plans for Jamaica. We're staying at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites now, its' right next door to the original resort. It was only $133 each, total, to upgrade to the nicer resort with bigger rooms, more amenities, more dining options, etc.
I know you were looking at a cruise, but I wanted to let you know we slightly altered our vacay plans in case you were still deciding!
I'll definitely keep you updated on what we decide vacation-wise.
Wait.... job hunting??? Are you serious??? What happened?
Anyway. what's happening in V's world?? It seems like it's been a LONG time since we caught up-too long. :-)
What a nightmare! You seriously crummy luck. THOUGH I will say you have FANTASTIC luck finding new jobs quickly! *knock on wood*
Not much new here, excited for the nice weather, and crazy excited about Jamaica already.
I haven't had the best luck with anything other than temporary stuff, but I'm thinking that'll change soon. We're getting ready to start working on another new adventure too-fostering and hopefully adopting-so we're both really excited about that!!!
Oh wow I had no idea! There's a girl on the MM board who is fostering with the hope of adopting. A couple in our church small group are just starting their homestudy to foster/adopt too.
