Gas Prices = $*%##$@!

WTF! Crying Gas prices are out of control!!! Does anyone know if it's going to go down anytime soon? DH and I filled up our cars yesterday and paid over $50 each. It sucks that both of our cars take premium fuel. :( Sometimes I wish I had a hybrid or a car with good gas mileage. Someday...someday.....

Re: Gas Prices = $*%##$@!

  • Unfortunately, I doubt it's going to go down any time soon, if at all. ?
  • I'm really considering getting an Escape Hybrid next year!

  • I know it is horrible!! Luckly though, we are not as bad as many other places. Back in WI where all my family is, they always pay at least 20 cents more a gallon then we do. I really hope that some day it will go down at least a little, but I dont think this will be happening.

  • It won't, unfortunately.

And before you go buy hybrid cars, you should make sure you do your research. Unless you drive a hybrid a specific way, you'll be paying an insane amount more for a car that gets maybe 5-10mpg more than the regular gas-fueled car. A group in my Chemistry class put together a presentation of pros and cons of Hybrid Cars and that was one of the cons.

hybridcars.com is the website they said they got a lot of their information from.

  • just be lucky that you aren't driving a diesel. Every time DH has to fill up its at least $150 bucks.

  • It makes me happy that we bought the two cars we did when we did! :) We are getting about 28-33 mpg and it is nice!

Of course, with school and working and clinicals DH is driving about 350-400 miles a week so we are still paying an arm and a leg but only for a few more weeks!
