I remember that you are allergic to eggs. Would you mind sharing
when you developed the allergy and what your symptoms were? Can you
eat things with eggs in them (baked goods)?
I'm still on an
elimination diet to figure out Ethan's food allergies/intolerances. I
introduced eggs this week and some of his symptoms have returned. Two
pediatricians we've spoken with think that he's too young to have an
allergy to eggs. Possible that he's not allergic to them but he's
definitely having a reaction.
Thanks!
Re: jjenkins
Hey Christina! Sorry to hear that you're still on the elimination diet. I'm pretty sure my allergy developed during early grade school so somewhere betweeen K to third. I know my mom said I was able to eat scrambled eggs before that and I don't think my mom thought too much of it back then because its something where my symptoms have gotten worse as I've gotten older.
I can eat baked goods but I have to be very careful with anything that uses raw eggs. My symptoms vary too. Its weird sometimes I'll feel like I have food poisoning, sometimes I'll get hives but the worst reaction for me is mayo...I like it on chicken sandwiches and don't use it very often but sometimes I literally feel like its closing my throat and I start having panic attacks.
I hope you get it pinpointed what his triggers are...I can't imagine how difficult it must be. Poor guy!
