My last day of maternity leave... :(

After 8 weeks (which seemed to just fly by), I am heading back to work tomorrow....Crying

I am a mess!  I can't believe I have to leave my baby... even though she will be with her brother at my MIL's house and she is wonderful with both kids!

The only thing that is remotely helping me get through this is the fact that I will only have 2 more weeks of school, and then I'm off for the summer!!!

Re: My last day of maternity leave... :(

  • I hated going back to work. My son was born at 34 weeks.  I was on bedrest in the hospital for 6 weeks. Bedrest was not fun! Good luck going back!! That's nice you only have 2 weeks until summer starts!
  • I completely understand  I hated yet loved to go back.  I also was home on bed rest for 3 months then my 8weeks maternity.  5 months was a long time.  Im glad you get the summer with them both though.  Thats got to be awesome.  I hope your 1st day back is a good one.

BTW how is Ainsley doing?  No issues since shes been home?

  • Left Hug Hopefully these next two weeks fly by!

  • I'm sorry you feel so sad about having to go to work.  For me, though, there is no way I could stay home all day with a toddler and a baby.  Stick out tongue  I hope you get through the next two weeks OK and then you'll be back home for the summer with the little ones!

  • Good luck hun!  The 2 weeks will fly by and you will have all summer with them :-)
  • Bummer. 2 weeks will fly by. It will be a nice way to ease back into next school year.

Is Ainsley sleeping good for you?

Good as in that she is pretty consistent.  She takes some good naps during the day and we are typically up every 2 - 2.5 hrs during the night.

I hadn't planned on co-sleeping (we have a co-sleeper next to the bed that I planned on her sleeping in), but I usually fall asleep while she is nursingm so she is spending more time in bed with me than I had planned.  I hope I'm not creating a monster doing this

  • That is tough... I am counting down the days as well! Summer will be here before you know it. : )
