Newbie to LV
Hey ladies- My name is Michelle-I am moving Las Vegas (Henderson) next week so I thought I would stop in and introduce myself and check out my new home board! We were just married three weeks ago so I am still on the Knot helping the girls out there, but I am hoping to make the switch to the Nest with my move.

I know we are a couple of blocks from Rec center.....not sure how much help that is.
I met my hubby three years ago at a work convention in TX. (I live in Oklahoma) We started as friends and then gave the long distance relationship a try and well it worked pretty good-he has a business there so of course I had to be the one to move. But I think I am really going to like in in NV. I am so ready to go shopping! Not so excited to driver there yet...

The drive won't be so bad--my hubby and I drove from Vegas to Chicago last Christmas and we took the south route, so we came right through OK. It was actually kind of fun.
What kind of work does your hubby do? You'll be here just in time to get immersed in our delightful summer heat.
Welcome to Las Vegas! You should check out Meetup.com. There are 2 groups in particular that I recommend: Lost Vegas Couples and LV Girls Night Out. The groups were a lifesaver to me when we moved here. They organize events at which you can meet other people in the area and make friends.

Right now we are too busy for me to enjoy anything. lots of work around the house, working at our office and trying to manage activities for my nine year old...seems to be no time for me right now. But we will get there!
