I'm so glad it's finally raining. It's nice to see everything turn green again. But I'm afraid I'm going to have to wade to some of my classrooms tomorrow. And I just discovered that the ceiling in my car leaks.
Re: Holy rain!
I love storms. I have been living in CA for the past 5 years where they have no thunder or lightening and it rarely rains. I'm loving this...except that it's raining so hard for so long. We have a pool forming around the house...I'm worried it may flood!
Sorry about your car. Like pp said, can you put a tarp over it?! Good luck.
Ponder-ing whether or not to become a Viking's fan
We do need the rain, and I'm glad it is putting the fires out, BUT...it is not good for me right now. Last year during Fay we got water in our house. It pretty much flooded Rylie's room. Now there is mold in there and we have to rip out her room. (She is moving upstairs anyway, but we still need to get it cleaned up for the baby.) Anyway, after trying to go through insurance (what a joke) and that didn't happen, we finally set something up to have the house re-stuccoed and painted. It turns out that the stucco was done very poorly and that is most of the problem. That was supposed to start this weekend. It doesn't look like it is going to happen now. Meanwhile, more moisture is getting into the house. ARGH.
Wahhhhhhhhhhhhh, I know.
And sorry to hear about your car, kokomama, that is just as bad!
lol to looking out the window and wanting to be at the beach, I hear ya on that one. I do hate seeing that nice sunshine and knowing that i could totally be laying out instead of stuck in an office w/ sick patients but seriously i'm ready for the rain to quit. I came home today and our neighbors on either side of us have flooded yards..
